What Will You Need?

Computer

You will need a basic computer with Google Chrome installed. A webcam is preferred, but no essential. If you would like to buy one we recommend the Logitech C270 which is about £15 on Amazon.

Broadband

We use Zoom video conferencing software to deliver our online courses and the minimum recommended speed is 1.2 Mbps (down) and 600kbps (up). You can test your broadband speed at SpeedTest.net

A headset is recommended as it allows you to record your sessions and play them back at the end of the session.

Headset (Optional)

We can talk via phone but a USB headset will give you much better sound quality and let you work hands free. We recommend the MPOW PC Headset which is about £20 on Amazon.

How Does it Work?

Step 1 – Booking
To book this course you will need to contact us. We will then send you an invoice. After you finalize your order we will send you a questionnaire asking you about your previous experience and you can let us know when you would like to schedule your first session.

If you own a website we will ask you for your URL and five to ten keyword phrases that you would like your website to be found for. We will then perform a full technical audit on your website and will present our findings during the coaching sessions.

If you don’t have a website then we can work using a guinea pig website which we can setup for free on WordPress.Com. Don’t worry. We’ll show you how. It’s really easy.
Step 2 – Scheduling
You can either schedule all of your coaching sessions when you place your order or you can schedule your sessions as the course progresses.
Step 3 – Training Sessions
10-minutes before the session we will send you a link to the virtual training room. This will give you time to login, setup your computer and get comfortable.
Step 4 – Recording
You can record your sessions using the software that is built-in to Zoom. You can then play back your sessions and review the recordings as often as you like.
Step 5 – Support
At the end of each course you will be given an assignment. This gives you the chance to implement any of the recommendations that we might make during the training. After the course we provide you with an additional 30-days of free email support.

What Will I Learn?

Course Syllabus

This Course is Divided into Five Stand-alone 1-Hour Sessions

Session 1 - SEO Basics
Session 1 is entitled SEO Basics and in this session, we’re going to go cover the full spectrum of SEO but at a very high level. The purpose or the training objective in this session is to give you a simple but complete mental model of the SEO process that you can build upon this throughout the remainder of the course. The best way to think of Session 1 – is to think of it as a Dummies Guide to SEO.
Session 2 - Keyword Research & Site Structuring
Session 2 is entitled Keyword Research and Site Structuring.

2.1 Keyword Research

In the first part of this session you’ll learn how to create an important document called a Keyword Dictionary and this is an important tool in the SEO planning Process.

2.2 Site Structuring

In the second part of this session you’ll learn best practices for site structuring. Site Structuring is concerned with defining how your pages will be grouped together and which pages will be used as hub pages. Site Structuring is a very important part of the SEO process and is often overlooked by inexperienced practitioners.
Session 3 - SEO Content Writing
Session 3 is entitled SEO Content Writing. In this session you are going to learn Google best practices for producing your pages and content. This is where you are going to learn about things like Meta-Tags, Title-Tags, H1-Tags, P-Tags and all the other SEO favourites that you’ve maybe heard about.
Session 4 - Link Building, Project Management and Competitor Analysis
4.1 Link Building

The first part of this session covers Google best practices for improving your digital footprint. This will include things like link building, using social media and improving your Google Knowledge Graph.

4.2 Project Management

We’ll then move onto SEO project management, which is a short topic but very important because this is one of the main reasons that SEO projects fail.

4.3 Competitor Analysis

We’ll finish this session by learning how to decompile high ranking competitor websites. To do this we will be using the SEO Page Spider Pro software that is included with this course. We will also learn to use Google’s advanced search operators.
Session 5 - SEO Tools
Session 5 is the final session and is simply entitled SEO Tools. Here you’ll learn to use tools like:
- Google Analytics
- Google Search Console
- Google’s Site Performance Tools
- Screaming Frog SEO Spider
